Green River Stone Company offers the world’s finest museum quality fossil art for those with discerning taste. Each stone is unearthed in our private quarry in southwestern Wyoming, the site of a 50 million year old lakebed, considered to be one of the world’s premier sites for discovering fossils.

In the quarry, our geologist and his expert crew remove stone, layer-by-layer, in search of ancient fossil treasures. Once found, our team of paleontologists and craftsmen spend hour upon hour painstakingly chipping away the stone that covers the fossils, revealing their most intricate details, creating beautiful works of natural art. Each piece is an authentic, one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

All of our murals are supplied ready to hang, and are shipped in custom built shipping crates along with a Certificate of Authenticity. Rectangular murals are framed in handmade Wenge wood frames. Our irregular, natural shaped murals are backed with wood, which has been beveled away from the stone to achieve a "floating" effect when hung on the wall.
